Wilfred Reilly

Wilfred Reilly is an associate professor of political science at Kentucky State University, with a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University and a J.D. from the University of Illinois. He has published more than 100 articles in outlets including National Review, Commentary, Newsweek, and Quillette, testing fashionable claims with datasets.

His first book, Hate Crime Hoax (2019), assembled a dataset of 409 allegedly false or dubious hate-crime allegations to argue that a substantial share of reported hate crimes are hoaxes. Taboo (2020) took on ten forbidden claims about race, gender, and class, and Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me answers the school-curriculum debates with the same quantitative directness.

He builds quantitative arguments about race, crime, and bias in American life. In the recorded SuperDebate he argued that DEI programs do more harm than good.
