About American Debate League

Students learn debate and public-speaking skills through the league’s virtual school and competition programs. The published Winter 2027 class session runs January 9 through February 27, with Saturday meetings over Zoom and a virtual tournament at the end of the session.

The league also partners with schools to train staff to launch and run debate programs. Those institutional arrangements are separate from individual virtual-class enrollment. Check the selected program’s grade requirements, schedule and registration terms with the league.

    Winter 2027 Public Forum debate classes

    Live Saturday Zoom classes for grades 5–8, running January 9–February 27, 2027. The published session includes a virtual tournament on February 27.

    Eligibility: Grades 5–8. Confirm registration and placement directly with the league.

    Published fees: $495 regular rate for the Winter 2027 session.
