Argument-Centered Education

A school corridor in the PBS documentary Beyond Debate, which includes ACE’s classroom work

Chicago-based professional learning for educators who want to teach through evidence, reasoning, discussion and debate.

About Argument-Centered Education

Partnerships help teachers build argument-centered instruction into the curriculum they already teach. The work can combine professional-development workshops, curriculum adaptation and classroom-embedded coaching.

Les Lynn directs the practice and participates in partnership planning and implementation. Schools, colleges and youth-serving organizations agree on a scope, calendar and budget with ACE. This is an institutional educator-training service; it is not an open-enrollment debate class for individual students.
