About Braver Angels
Braver Angels uses a structured parliamentary format in which participants can speak for or against a resolution and ask questions under a trained chair. The emphasis is on understanding competing views. These are facilitated community practice events rather than competitive-debate coaching.
The Greater Boston alliance also points participants to workshops on difficult political conversations. Check each event’s registration instructions and location; national online events and local meetings are listed separately.

NYC community debate on housing regulation
A November 16, 2026 event at the Comedy Cellar at Village Underground invites speeches and questions on whether more government regulation is needed to address NYC’s housing crisis. Scheduled for 6–7:30 p.m. Eastern.
