How the program debates

The team connects the COMM 114 Intercollegiate Speech and Debate course with tournament experience. CWI welcomes students from any major and says prior experience is not required; members should be ready to compete and travel. At the September 2026 Fran Tanner Open, CWI earned bronze medals in novice IPDA, and one team member finished third in overall novice IPDA speaker points. The 2025–2026 season also brought eight debate awards and third place in Northwest Forensics Conference Division III debate. Use the official team page to ask about joining.
