How the program debates

Georgia Tech Debate gives students a student-led route into collegiate competition, supported by the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts. The university says newcomers do not need debate experience and can start by attending practice. The team’s published results include a British Parliamentary finals appearance at Vanderbilt in 2025, and Georgia Tech also competed in the 2026 University System of Georgia Regents Cup, which used IPDA short-preparation rounds. Students can use the Institute’s debate feature to connect with the team and ask about current practice and event plans.
