How the program debates

Idaho State’s James M. and Sharon E. Rupp Debate Society connects intercollegiate debate with a small set of individual events. The team page says students of all experience levels may compete and identifies British Parliamentary Debate as its current format. At the October 2026 Steve Hunt Classic, two first-year debaters placed among the final four in novice IPDA; the Society also placed fifth in overall sweepstakes across speech and debate.
