Los Angeles Valley College’s Forensics Team has competed in intercollegiate speech and debate for more than 40 years. Its program includes individual speaking and interpretation, IPDA and parliamentary debate; students can join competitively or noncompetitively through COM 106 Forensics. At the completed April 2026 Phi Rho Pi National Tournament, LAVC students earned an IPDA gold, two IPDA silvers and a parliamentary bronze, and the team received a team trophy in Debate Sweepstakes.
