About New York City Urban Debate League

The New York City Urban Debate League supports debate across the five boroughs. Open League serves middle and high school teams, while district programs and NYC Reads have their own school eligibility. Formats include Public Forum, Parliamentary and pre-debate activities depending on the program. The summer institute has a separate public enrollment route. Start with the program comparison to identify the right option; school-based leagues are not individual adult coaching services.
