About NYU CEDA Debate
NYU CEDA’s service program supports individual debaters and school teams. Director Will Baker and the coaching staff also help schools establish speech and debate programs across New York City’s five boroughs.
Start with the service intake form. It lists a processing charge before coaching is arranged; that charge is not the price of lessons. The service website is managed by NYU CEDA alumni and supporters.

Private debate lessons
Individual instruction is available through the team’s coaching-assistance service. Ask which debate format, level and meeting arrangement fit the student.
Published fees: The intake form lists a $100 processing fee for parents. Lesson rates are separate and must be confirmed.
Classes
Online debate classes
Online classes are listed among the coaching services. Request the current class level, schedule and arrangements through the intake form.
Published fees: Intake processing is listed at $100 for parents or $200 for schools, afterschool organizations and leagues. Class tuition is not published on the service page.
School programs
School debate coaching and program development
Support for school leaders establishing a team, arranging a training series or contracting for a rotating group of coaches through the Revolving Coaches Fund.
