Washington Improv Theater

Stephanie Rae, WIT education director and improv instructor

Washington, DC improv classes for adults, with an entry-level curriculum and free introductory workshops around the city.

About Washington Improv Theater

WIT teaches improvisation as both a performance craft and a way to practice communication, creativity and collaboration. Its core classes run over eight weeks, with additional electives and guest workshops.

Level 1 has no prerequisite. Students coming from another school can discuss placement before enrolling at a higher level. For a shorter introduction, Improv for All workshops offer a low-pressure way to try the exercises before committing to a full course.
