Chicago Debate Club · Free meetup
An open evening for the club: quick live debates, a room-wide vote, and time to meet the people in Chicago who show up to argue well. Free to attend.
The meetup
The Chicago SuperDebate Club meetup is the informal half of the series — no tickets, no stage, just the club in a room together.
We run a few short debates, open the floor for motions from the crowd, then get out of the way and let people talk. Come with an opinion, leave with a few better ones.
What to expect
Every part of the evening is built to get the room thinking and talking, whether you have debated before or not.
Short, sharp rounds between club members on motions picked for the room.
The audience votes every round. No judges and no jargon — the room decides who made the stronger case.
Suggest a motion, take a side, and argue it in front of the club. First-timers welcome.
Pizza, drinks, and a room full of Chicagoans who like a good argument.
Who it is for
Anyone in Chicago who wants sharper arguments and better conversation. No experience, no preparation, no cost.
