Should Media Literacy Be a Required Subject in Schools?

Teaching students to identify misinformation, understand bias, and evaluate sources could combat the spread of fake news and strengthen democracy. However, concerns include who determines what is "misinformation," potential political bias in curriculum, and displacing other essential subjects.
